ABOUT
Logos Papers Press (LPP) serves the publishing interests of The Logos Foundation in its various divisions. It makes available lectures, books, articles, and curricula materials in print and digital formats.
LPP has an editorial board that approves all LPP publications (with imprimatur or nihil obstat), with Kelly Fitzsimmons Burton serving as General Editor.
LPP is the sister publishing company to Public Philosophy Press (PPP). Whereas PPP publishes works in Philosophy and the Humanities, LPP publishes works in Theology and Historic Christianity.
The Logos Foundation (TLF) is based on the teaching concerning the Logos summarized in the Prologue to the Gospel of John (and unfolding throughout the entire Gospel). The Logos is the eternal Word of God, the Word of God in its fullness, who makes God fully known: “In the beginning was the Word” (1:1). The life of the Logos is in all men as the light of reason (1:4). The Logos is in all of creation as general revelation (1:10). The Logos is in history as special revelation/Scripture (1:11). In his fallen condition, man neglects, avoids, resists, and denies the Logos in every form (1:5, 10, 11). Therefore, the Logos became incarnate in Jesus Christ, full of grace and truth (1:14). Christ sends the Holy Spirit to lead the Church into all Truth—the Logos is Truth. (16:13). The Holy Spirit brings a person into the truth by regeneration (3:3) and by sanctification (17:17).
TLF is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization established to promote academic education in the Liberal Arts and in Theology. TLF seeks to make the Logos known through its outreach, both online and onsite. TLF carries out its educational purposes through its many divisions:
Logos Theological Seminary (LTS) offers the M.A. degree in Theology, the Master of Divinity, and the PhD in Theology and Philosophy. Entry to each program is based on meeting sufficient natural prerequisites.
Logos College of Liberal Arts (LCLA) offers the B.A. degree based upon a course of studies in the areas of Philosophy, Great Books, Religion, and Humanities (Literature, History, and the Arts).
The K-12 curriculum for Logos Preparatory Academy (LPA) is guided by the following objectives: College Preparatory, Critical Thinking, the Great Books Tradition, and Worldview Focus.
The Logos Papers (TLP) seeks to make the Logos known through papers covering a broad range of concerns.
TLP seeks to articulate the Biblical Worldview of Creation–Fall–Redemption and its application to culture.
TLP seeks to establish the foundation of the Biblical Worldview from general revelation, special revelation and Historic Christianity.
TLP seeks to take thoughts captive that are raised up against the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:4-5) so that the earth might be filled with the knowledge of God as the waters cover the sea (Isaiah 11:9).
The Logos Curriculum is a sequence of courses of study for Logos Preparatory Academy (K-12), Logos College of Liberal Arts, and Logos Theological Seminary. Online, onsite, and home school course syllabi are made available through Logos Papers Press.
Logos Study Center is a place to host extended seminars in selected topics on philosophical and theological foundation for worldview and culture.
A place where faculty and students may engage in more intensive critical thinking and dialogue concerning their course of study.
A place where the moral law and its application to culture may be analyzed and developed.
A place where the achievements of excellence in the Humanities may be more deeply understood and appreciated.
